2008-09 Mountain Dew Tank Patrol

The Mountain Dew Tank Patrol provides a fun and exciting guest experience at all home San Jose Sharks games. The Tank patrol is responsible for on-ice intermission games and break promotions in the seating area at HP Pavilion. The Tank Patrol will also go out in the public at other Sharks events to bring the ultimate guest experience to that location.

Basic Functions:
  • Execute sponsored promotions on and off the ice
  • Choose participants for in-game contests
  • Participates in off-site Sharks game-viewing parties
  • Escorts the mascot, S.J. Sharkie, on game night
  • Promote a positive fan experience
  • Must be 18 years or older by August 24, 2008
  • Available for a minimum of 20 home games and all playoff games
  • Shifts will begin 3 hours before the games and end approximately a half an hour after the game (typically from 4:30 – 11:00PM)
  • Must be able to pass the California required background check
  • Team player in every sense of the word
Applicants should posses the following abilities and characteristics:

Necessary Skills:
  • Ability to work with different age groups
  • Able to learning new skills quickly
  • Ability to process information in an organized, efficient manner
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic personality; enjoys working in the public eye
Desired Skills:
  • Juggling
  • Face Painting
  • Balloon Characters
  • Paid on a per game basis
  • All resumes must be received NO LATER than Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 5:00 PM.
If your skills meet our needs, you may be invited to try-out for the Tank Patrol.
Try-outs will be conducted. Candidates MUST attend try-outs to be considered.
Try-outs will consist of hands-on game situations and an interview process.
