2007 SAP Open Announces Playing Schedule For Tuesday And Wednesday Evening Sessions

The SAP Open returns to HP Pavilion February 12-18, 2007 and will again feature some of world’s top men’s professional tennis players.  Already entered in the 2007 singles field of players is two-time SAP Open champion ANDY RODDICK, SAP Open defending champion ANDY MURRAY, Bay Area favorite and world’s top-ten ranked JAMES BLAKE (pictured below at right) and Russian superstar and two-time Grand Slam winner MARAT SAFIN. 
The SAP Open, Northern California’s premier men’s professional tennis tournament, has announced the schedule of play for the evening sessions on Tuesday, February 13 and Wednesday, February 14, 2007. 
  • ANDY MURRAY is scheduled to play his first round singles match on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m., followed by MARAT SAFIN in his first round singles match. 

  • ANDY RODDICK is scheduled to play his first round singles match on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m., followed by JAMES BLAKE in his first round singles match. 
  • These featured players will battle an opponent to be determined at the Official SAP Open Draw Ceremony to be hosted at 12 noon on Friday, February 9, 2007.  Monday evening’s playing schedule (February 12, 2007) will also be announced on Friday, February 9, 2007.
    “We are pleased to announce the first-round playing schedule for four of the world’s most exciting players – Safin, Murray, Roddick & Blake,” said SAP Open Tournament Director Bill Rapp.  “It’s convenient for our fans to know the tournament’s early round schedule in advance, so they can make plans now to come out and watch their favorite players compete.”
