More than 3,000 diehard Ottawa Senators fans came together at Scotiabank Place today to watch their team take on the Buffalo Sabres in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference final in Buffalo on a giant 9'X12' Sensvision screen.

The screen arrived at the Red Zone just a few hours before faceoff, when ColossoVision technical producer Matt Prim and technician Jordan Vos completed a trek from Calgary to Ottawa in 40 hours. Working on three hours sleep since arriving in Ottawa early this morning, the duo was re-energized to see the response from Sens Army as they watched the game.

"We felt the fever as soon as we hit the city," Prim says. "We were greeted with two Senators jerseys when we arrived here, and everyone has treated us like gold. When we had our playoff run in Calgary a few years ago we had the Red Mile, but we had nothing like this at the Saddledome. This is pretty impressive to see what you have here at Scotiabank Place."

Vos and Prim received a call at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday informing them of the plan to bring the big screen to Scotiabank Place in time for Game 5. After testing the equipment quickly, the men left Calgary four hours later at 12:15 p.m. They arrived in Ottawa just after 4 a.m. today.

There were no mechanical issues along the way, and the two men shared shifts driving. The trip consisted of just one, one-hour break when both men took a nap.

Senators vice-president of marketing Jeff Kyle says the arrival of the screen was well received by fans.

"We just wanted to enhance the atmosphere here for home and road games. This looks fantastic. It's an amazing view from even 100 yards away."
