A pair of Ottawa Senators were on the air with TSN 1200, the radio home of the Sens, on Thursday. Free agent acquisition David Legwand joined "In the Box" on Thursday morning while prospect Matt Puempel caught up with "The Drive" after a day of work as part of Sens Rookie Camp.

"I don't think it matters who wears the C or the A or any of that. It's the guy who is going to take care of the young guys. If we lose a few games in a row or two or three games in a row you can't come to the rink with your head down and your tail between your legs, you've got another game to play. You've got to come to the rink happy and excited to play, you can't look down, it's an 82 game season. There's going to be lulls, there's going to be down parts and peaks and valleys. If we can keep it even keel for the most part we should be fine." - David Legwand

"Over the summer I got to think a little bit. I know last year coming into camp you want to learn a lot, it was my first real camp where I was going to be playing professionally somewhere and you don't really know what to expect and you learn as you go. This year I feel a lot more comfortable after playing in the American League last year and knowing what to expect this year and knowing how things work here — what they expect, where I stand. This is the first camp I've felt as confident as I do and as good as I do coming in. I'm just going to try to put my best foot forward and work hard and enjoy it." - Matt Puempel
