Erik Karlsson — Karlsson led Team Sweden to a 5-3 victory over Latvia today with a goal and an assist en route to their third win of the tournament. With those two points he moved into the tournament point lead with five in three games. Sweden will know who they play in the next round after tomorrow's four games.
Milan Michalek — Michalek recorded a pair of shots on goal in a 1-0 Czech Republic loss to Switzerland. With the loss the Czechs move to a record of 1-2 and will await the seeding of the qualifying round.
Team Canada — Team Canada had the day off from the rink today, they return to the ice against Finland on Sunday at 12 noon (Eastern).
