The Sens announced this afternoon that they have agreed to terms with Mississauga native Nick Paul on an three-year entry-level contract.
Paul is currently skating with Team Canada in preparation for the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championships after making a strong impression this past September.
"It was amazing." said Paul regarding this summer's Team Canada World Junior Camp. "I was playing with great players and the competition was really good. I think I was better coming out of that, my speed definitely improved and my whole game has improved this summer."
Those improvements have been on full display during his third OHL season with the North Bay Battalion as he's on pace to set career highs in goals, assists and points this year. In 27 games this season, Paul leads the Battalion in both goals (19) and points (34).

Originally a 4th round pick (drafted #101 in 2013) of the Dallas Stars, Paul was acquired during the off-season as part of the Jason Spezza/Ludwig Karlsson trade along with Alex Chiasson, Alex Guptill and a 2015 second round pick.
"I was making myself breakfast and watching TV, then my agent called and told me I'd been traded." Paul said. " I looked up at the TV and it said 'Breaking News: Jason Spezza traded to the Dallas Stars for prospects'. It was an amazing feeling and I'm excited to be a part of this great organization."
Nick Paul and Team Canada officially begin their quest for gold on Boxing Day against Slovakia but as fortune would have it, they'll face-off against Team Sweden in a scheduled preliminary game on Sunday December 21st in a building Paul hopes to call home shortly: Canadian Tire Centre.
