There's an app for that ... or so the saying goes.
If you're an Ottawa Senators fan, count yourself among that group now.
With the release of the Sens app, powered by Bell, supporters of the squad have a new way to follow their favourite National Hockey League team on the go — no matter where they are.
Want to check out the latest game scoring details? Now there's an app for that. Looking for the latest Facebook or Twitter updates, player profiles, team news, photos or Sens TV video? There's an app for that, too. All of it located in one convenient place on your favourite mobile device.
"Our fans have told us they want better access to more real-time Senators content through their mobile devices," said Jeff Kyle, the Senators' vice-president of marketing. "Senators fans are sure to enjoy the ability to stay connected with their favourite team whenever they're on the move."
Also available as part of the Sens app is an interactive map of Scotiabank Place, where fans can check seat locations prior to purchasing Senators game tickets. The map also indicates restaurant, concession and Sens Store venues throughout the building.
If you're an iPhone user, download the Sens app free from the App Store. It'll also soon be available in Blackberry App World (in the meantime, download instructions are available at www.ottawasenators.com/sensapp).
Android devices should have access to the Sens App via the Android Market within two weeks.
