OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has signed forward Max McCormick to a two year contract extension. The contract is a two-way deal in year one ($650,000 in the National Hockey League and $200,000 in the American Hockey League, with a guarantee of $250,000) and is a one-way deal in year two ($650,000).

McCormick, 25, appeared in 66 games for the B-Sens last season, setting new career highs in goals (21) and points (36). His 21 goals were tied for the team lead and 105 penalty minutes were a team best. A native of De Pere, Wis., he also appeared in seven games with Ottawa.

In three years with Binghamton, he has scored 46 goals and 40 assists while recording 381 penalty minutes in 185 games.
