OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has signed forward Chase Balisy to a one-year, two-way contract. The contract carries a value of $650,000 in the National Hockey League and $135,000 in the American Hockey League.

A native of Fullerton, Calif., Balisy tallied 35 points (14 goals, 21 assists) over 67 games with the Florida Panthers AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds, in 2017-18. He was also recalled to the NHL for the first time while being held scoreless in eight games for the Panthers.

In four professional seasons, the 5-11, 179-pound forward has scored 61 goals and earned 89 assists for 150 points in 285 AHL games, with the St. John's IceCaps, Portland Pirates and Springfield.

Balisy, 26, was originally drafted by the Nashville Predators in the sixth round (170th overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft.
