OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has signed Swedish defenceman Olle Alsing to a two-year entry-level contract.

Alsing, 23, recently completed his second full season in the Swedish Hockey League, and first with Djurgårdens, leading SHL skaters in plus/minus rating (+26) while ranking second among club defencemen in scoring with 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) in 49 regular season games.
Alsing added four goals and four assists over 18 playoff games, helping his team to the SHL Final, where it was eliminated when Djurgårdens fell to Frölunda four games to two in the best-of-seven series last week. In two SHL seasons, the 5-11, 170-pound left shot defenceman recorded five goals, 18 assists and 20 penalty minutes in 94 regular season games while skating with Djurgårdens and Leksands.
A native of Uppsala, Sweden, Alsing is scheduled to make his first visit to Ottawa as a member of the Senators organization when he attends this summer's development camp beginning on June 25.
