Senators recall forward Mike Blunden from Binghamton

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) today recalled forward Mike Blunden from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Blunden, 29, has appeared in each of the B-Sens' nine games to date this season and is tied for the team lead with three goals while also sitting tied for second among team scorers with four points.

A Toronto native, Blunden has appeared in 124 career NHL games over which he has registered 13 points (seven goals, six assists) and 141 penalty minutes with the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning. He was originally drafted by Chicago with the team's first second-round pick (43rd overall) in the 2005 NHL Draft.

The Senators return to action when the team visits the Sabres at Buffalo's KeyBank Center this evening at 7:30 p.m.
