Sens TV caught Curtis Lazar chomping down on one of the many hamburgers that were tossed on to the ice at Canadian Tire Centre last night after the Sens beat the Boston Bruins 6-4.
We caught up with Lazar post-game to get his thoughts on his late night snack, the Sens playoff push and the Hamburglar's incredible streak coming to an end...
On if he's concerned about eating a burger he picked up off the ice:
No. Actually I went over and found a tightly wrapped burger and it had an elastic around it so I thought "Why not?". I'm still looking for my toy though since that's what comes in a happy meal.
On what tasted better: the burger or the win?
Oh that W for sure. What a game, back and forth. Well played by both teams. That was playoff hockey there and or fans did a great job of helping us out. A lot of energy in the building.
On being a part of this current push towards the playoffs:
It's awesome but we can't get ahead of ourselves. Our focus now is "on to the next one" which is Toronto on Saturday. We still have a lot of work to do and again we're on the outside looking in but this run has been great and hopefully we can continue it.
On Hammond's streak of allowing 2 goals or less coming to and end:
We're just happy that he came back from the equipment malfunction at the start of the game. He played a great game and gave us the saves when we needed them.
