Sens rookie Shane Prince offers up some quick pre-game thoughts before tonight's game in Detroit against the Red Wings.
On what the coaches are asking from him:
The one thing they tell me everyday is to be responsible and offense will come from there. Obviously, they know I'm an offensive guy and they say to start with defense and the offense will come so that's what I'm trying to do. The main goal is to help the team win.
On making the most of his practice time with the coaches:
Especially being a first year guy, the coaches' eyes are on you everyday. They're extra hard on you just to push you and try to make you better and become a bigger part of this team.
On building off Wednesday's win against the Flames:
It was kind of a weird game but in the end we did win. It's good to bounce back and get a win under our belts at home. It's exactly what we needed going in to Detroit here and hopefully get another one and come back home.
On if there were repercussions from his Retro Chris Neil Halloween costume:
Everyone laughed but me and Neiler are always doing something to each other everyday in the room so that's only continued the process. It seems to be an everyday thing but it's just good fun.
