We caught up with Sens defenceman Fredrik Claesson this morning to talk about his recent surge in offensive production, staying patient and more...
On being able to contribute during the team's recent road trip:
I'm not really used to putting up a lot of points but it's just a plus when you can. It was a good road trip.
On putting up 9 points in his last 11 games played:
It's new territory for sure. When you get in the rhythm and you feel good it usually just comes to you. Right now, it feels pretty good so I just have to keep going with it.

On staying patient for his opportunity and remaining confident:
My confidence is really high. I think I just have to stick to my game and do it every day. I try to be an offensive threat when I can but the defensive side is what I'm good at. I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing and we'll see where it goes.
On having fans at today's morning skate as part of the ESSO Gameday Experience:
There were a lot of kids out there. I remember at Development Camp they were all screaming and stuff. Of course it gets you motivated and it's fun.
On feeling the buzz around the city and fans during the playoff race:
It definitely helps us that we're winning. The crowd is always good here so we're excited and hopefully we can get a win.
On the importance of tonight's game towards the standings:
It's just about the next game for sure. I don't know how many games we still have left so I'm not looking at that stuff. I just take it day by day and we'll see where it gets us.
