We caught up with Sens defenseman Fredrik Claesson prior to taking on the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night to talk about his recent stint with the team, being more comfortable and more...
His thought on his two games since being recalled:
I think I've been playing pretty well and I've been feeling comfortable out there. I feel like the more you play the more confident you get. I'm just going to keep going and make it simple for myself.
On Ottawa and Binghamton implementing the same system:
We're doing the same stuff down there as we're doing up here. It helps a lot from having done it in Binghamton. It's good for us who get called up. You're used to it.
On being more comfortable during this stint with the Sens:
I got some games last year but this time I feel like I can hold on to the puck more and just do what I have to do. If I can get some more games it will be great but I'm just going to take it one day at a time.
On how his game fits into the current system:
I'm pretty used to being on the left side but right now I'm on the right side so that's a little different. I think it's really fun and it's good for the D because we can pinch down and play more in the offensive zone. It's a fun way to play.
On playing back-to-back road games:
I think it's fun to be on the road with the guys and go out for dinner. You don't think as much either, you just go out and play. I think it could be good for us for sure.
On being part of the squad that limits shots and goals:
That's something we've been working on and I think we can get even better at it.
