Sens winger Alex Chiasson shares a few quick thoughts after the morning skate as the team prepares to face the Arizona Coyotes tonight at Canadian Tire Centre.
On if it's tougher to prepare for a team like Arizona that they don't play as often:
I don't think so. The fact that it's early in the season and we've kind if been playing up and down lately and not playing the full 60 minutes that we're really worrying about how we're going to play tonight. Regardless of who we're playing, I don't think it makes a difference. Looking at their line-up, they've got some new faces and some young guys that have done really good so far. It's a bit of a fresh start for them since the past couple of years and I'm sure they're going to be ready to go just like we will.
On the coach's message to the team before tonight's game:
There has to be some preparation and maybe it goes with it being early in the season but I think Dave is looking for us to give complete effort and make sure that we play the right way. When it's time to get pucks deep to do it or when it's time to make a play to make a play. That's really what we're focusing on right now.
On playing on a line with Max McCormick during his first NHL game tonight:
I'm sure that a few guys have talked to him. It's a really neat experience. I feel like my first game wasn't too long ago and it's one that you remember for a long time. I think he's going to be full of energy. I've seen him play during the preseason and he just needs to go out there and play. I don't think it's any good for us to tell him how to play and what to do. He's here for a reason and he's obviously proven that he deserves to be here. It's up to him to just go out there and have some fun and during his first game to enjoy the moment.
On if he's a fan of Country Music seeing as tonight's game is Country Night:
Yeah a little bit from playing in Dallas, it's obviously a big Country town. I have a lot of country playlist on my iPod so I think it should be a fun night for that.
