As mentioned above, the Sens skated in Ottawa this morning before heading to Manitoba for tonight's pre-season game which, according to the coach, offers a unique situation to try and manage.
"The challenge is that we won't have our legs. We had a day off yesterday so that's a double whammy right there. It's a lot to manage," said Guy Boucher about traveling on a game day this morning. "Usually you get your legs until the second period in those types of moments. We're aware of it and we've talked about it so we want to start the first period and push as hard as we can to accelerate that process of getting our legs."
While he won't play tonight, Sens captain Erik Karlsson spoke with the media for the first time since he resumed skating and provided an update on his recovery.

Mike Condon gets the call in net for the Sens tonight and is expected to play the entire game. Condon has appeared in a pair of pre-season games already this year, with the most recent being on Monday against the Devils in PEI, but this will be his first opportunity to play an entire 60 minutes.
Dzingel set for pre-season debut
After being hampered by off-season wrist surgery and then a mild groin pull at the beginning of training camp, Ryan Dzingel will finally participate with his teammates tonight in Winnipeg.
"It's been a lot of sitting and talking to everybody while I watch them play," said Dzingel recounting his training camp experience to date. "You can only do so much on the board and once you get into a game it's a whole other situation. I'm ready to get my feet wet and I know that for the first couple of minutes I might be hard to adjust but it's hockey...it's like riding a bike."
"Hopefully it won't take too long for me to adjust and feel good again. I'm excited to finally get some reps and get it going."
If this morning's line rushes hold true, Dzingel is set to skate with Alex Burrows and rookie Logan Brown against the Jets. A pair of linemates that he feels compliment his style of play.
"Burrows and I might play a lot together this year so I'm excited to play with him. He's a fun guy to play with; he's funny and talks a lot out there so that helps me out a lot," Dzingel said this morning. "Brown has been playing well so I'm excited to see what he can do. He's a big body and it's going to be fun tonight."
