OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today that the team has signed forward Mark Kastelic to a two-year contract. The contract has an average annual value of $835,000 and includes the following breakdown: $800,000 in 2023-24 and $870,000 in 2024-25.

Kastelic, 23, is in the midst of his third professional season, his second in the NHL, and is tied for fourth among Senators with two goals through the team's first six games in 2022-23. Through 22 career NHL contests (all of which have occurred with Ottawa), Kastelic has registered six points (four goals, two assists) and 19 penalty minutes. He has also recorded 38 points (18 goals, 20 assists) in addition to 105 penalty minutes over 95 career American Hockey League games with the Belleville Senators.

        "Mark has worked tirelessly to earn all that has come his way since being a late round draft pick three years ago," said Senators general manager Pierre Dorion. "He's reliable, competitive, takes exceptional pride in his conditioning and routinely showcases a willingness to take on any challenge.
