Senators reduce 2016-17 training camp roster by eight

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that they have reduced their training camp roster, assigning four players to the training camp of Binghamton of the American Hockey League, placing three players on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the B-Sens and releasing one player from his professional tryout agreement.

Four players were assigned to Binghamton this morning, Chris Driedger, Max McCormick, Chad Nehring and Nick Paul. Three players, Mike Blunden, Michael Kostka and Buddy Robinson, will be placed on waivers for the purposes of assignment to Binghamton.

Defenceman Matt Bartkowski was released from his professional tryout agreement with the club.

The Senators training camp roster is now composed of 25 players: two goaltenders, eight defencemen and 15 forwards.
