), assistant coach, Paul Boutilier, Ottawa Senators player development coach, Shean Donovan and B-Sens video coach, Dylan Crawford. Ottawa's hockey staff will also be in Toronto for the tournament.
Ottawa's 2017 rookie team is composed of two goaltenders, eight defencemen and 13 forwards (roster available below). Thirteen (13) players were drafted by the Senators, one was obtained via trade, three were signed as free agents and six players will be participating under tryout agreements.
Nine of the invited players appeared in American Hockey League action last season (each of whom did so with the Binghamton Senators). Defencemen Thomas Chabot and Andreas Englund, in addition to forward Colin White, each saw playing time with Ottawa in 2016-17. In doing so, all three players made their respective NHL debuts.
The Senators rookie team, which is composed of three first-round NHL draft picks - Chabot (18th, 2015), White (21st, 2015) and Logan Brown (11th, 2016) - is scheduled to begin this year's camp, which is being presented by Sport Chek (

), with an afternoon practice at the Bell Sensplex on Thursday, Sept. 7. The team will practice for a second time at the Bell Sensplex ahead of departing for the tournament on the morning of Friday, Sept. 8.

The Senators have participated in 16 rookie tournaments since their first appearance in 1999. The team most recently participated in a rookie tournament last September which was held in London, Ont. Ottawa finished second to Toronto (3-0-0) with a 2-0-1 record: a 2-1 overtime loss to Toronto on Sept. 16, a 1-0 win over Pittsburgh on Sept. 17 and a 6-3 win over Montreal in its tournament finale on Sept. 18, 2016.
