Sens fans looking to keep track of the team's prospects in playoff action already have some second round excitement to look forward to as a pair of Sens prospects advanced one step further in their respective CHL leagues.
Plymouth Whalers forward Stefan Noesen (above) who was drafted 21st overall by the Sens in 2011 helped lead his team to a four game sweep over the Sarnia Sting. Noesen posted six points in four games and was a plus-6 en route to the sweep. Here's a shot of Stefan celebrating a goal with his teammates from the game five win.
Last night in Calgary, Chris Driedger stopped 34 of 35 Swift Current shots to lead his Calgary Hitmen to a 3-1 win and subsequent five game series win over the Broncos. In five games, Driedger has posted a 1.91 GAA and .942 SV% for the Hitmen, including a 28 save shutout in game four. His lone loss came in OT in game three of the series despite making 42 saves. He was a third round draft pick of the Sens in 2012, 76th overall.
