by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has signed forward Nick Paul to a three-year entry-level contract.

A Mississauga native, Paul is currently in his third season with the Ontario Hockey League’s North Bay Battalion, where he leads the team in both goals (19) and points (34), while having added 28 penalty minutes in 27 games.

Paul, 19, was acquired by Ottawa along with current Senator Alex Chiasson, prospect Alex Guptill and the Dallas Stars’ second-round pick in 2015 on July 1, 2014, in exchange for Jason Spezza and Ludwig Karlsson.

The 6-3, 221-pound forward was named to Team Canada and will participate in the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship, which will be hosted by Montreal and Toronto over the holiday season.
