News Release: Senators sign forward Chad Nehring to a one-year, two-way contract

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has signed forward Chad Nehring to a one-year, two-way contract. The contract will carry an annual value of $600,000 in the National Hockey League and $125,000 in the American Hockey League.

A native of Springside, Sask, Nehring spent his second stright season with the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, where he set career highs in goals (26), assists (26) and points (48) while playing in all 76 of his team’s games. He led the Wolf Pack in goals, points and plus/minus +16.

The 5-11, 200-pound Nehring was undrafted after playing four seasons with Lake Superior State University of the CCHA. He has also played for the Idaho Steelheads and Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL.
