by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has signed forward Brad Mills to one-year, two-way contract for the duration of the current season.

Mills, 31, was invited to Ottawa’s training camp in September and has been playing for the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators, on a professional tryout (PTO) agreement throughout this season.

A native of Terrace, B.C., Mills has recorded four points (one goal, three assists) and 11 penalty minutes over nine games with the B-Sens during the 2014-15 campaign.

Undrafted, Mills was originally signed by the New Jersey Devils after completing his four-year college career at Yale University in 2007. After spending parts of five seasons with the Devils’ AHL affiliates in Lowell then Albany respectively, Mills made his NHL debut with New Jersey in 2010-11. In 34 career NHL games with New Jersey and Chicago, he has recorded two points (one goal, one assist) and 37 penalty minutes.
