News Release: Senators recall goaltender Andrew Hammond from Binghamton (AHL)

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) today recalled goaltender Andrew Hammond on an emergency basis from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Hammond, 26, has a record of 7-13-2 with a 3.51 goals-against-average and .898 save percentage in 25 games with the B-Sens this season and registered two shutout victories.

A native of Surrey, B.C., Hammond stopped each of the 11 shots he faced his is lone NHL appearance to date, a 6-1 Ottawa loss to Detroit on Feb. 27, 2014.

Ottawa returns to action when the club hosts the Dallas Stars tonight at 7:30 p.m.
