News Release: Senators recall forward Mike Hoffman from Binghamton (AHL)

by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has recalled forward Mike Hoffman from its American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Hoffman, 24, has recorded team-highs of 30 goals and 37 assists in 51 games for Binghamton this season, including 14 points (inlcuding eight goals) in eight games in the month of February. His 30 goals and 67 points rank second among all AHL players in both categories.

Hoffman recently competed in the AHL All-Star Classic, scoring one goal and adding two assists as the AHL All-Star team posted a 7-2 victory over Färjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League. This is Hoffman’s second recall of the season. He recorded no points and two penalty minutes in three games with Ottawa earlier this season.

The Senators next see action on Thursday, Feb. 27, when they host the Detroit Red Wings at Canadian Tire Centre.
