OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has assigned forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau to its American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
Pageau, 20, began the 2013-14 season with Ottawa and has appeared in eight of the club’s first 12 games while registering one point (one goal) and two penalty minutes. The Ottawa native was recalled to the Senators for the first time on April 10, 2013, and has played 17 NHL contests recording five points (three goals, two assists) and an even plus/minus rating.
Having made his professional debut in 2012-13, Pageau recorded 29 points (seven goals, 22 assists) in 69 games with Binghamton prior to his NHL recall. He also appeared in each of Ottawa’s 10 post-season contests last spring, registering six points (four goals, two assists) and eight penalty minutes.
Ottawa returns to action when the club welcomes the New York Islanders to Canadian Tire Centre on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The B-Sens visit Adirondack in their next contest on Friday at 7 p.m.
