News Release: Senators agree to terms with forward Eric O’Dell on a one-year, two-way contract

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has agreed to terms with Ottawa native and centre Eric O’Dell on a one-year, two-way contract . The contract will carry an annual value of $700,000 in the National Hockey League and $300,000 in the American Hockey League.

O’Dell, 25, spent time with both the Winnipeg Jets and the AHL’s St. John’s IceCaps last season, recording one assist in 11 games with the Jets. He added 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points in 37 games with the IceCaps.

Originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in second round (39th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, O’Dell has scored three goals and five assists, while adding 29 penalty minutes in 41 career NHL games with Winnipeg. In 180 career AHL games he has scored 72 goals, while adding 76 assists for 148 points and 122 penalty minutes.
