News Release: Senators agree to terms with defenceman Michael Kostka on a one-year, two-way contract

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has agreed to terms with defenceman Michael Koskta on a one-year, two-way contract. The contract will carry an annual value of $800,000 in the National Hockey League and $300,000 in the American Hockey League.

Kostka, 29, spent time with both the New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack last season, recording one point (one assist) over seven games with the Rangers. He registered 30 points (five goals and 25 assists) in 63 games with the Wolf Pack.

Undrafted, Kostka has scored four goals and earned 16 assists, while adding 35 penalty minutes in 70 career NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Blackhawks, Tampa Bay Lightning and the Rangers. He has recorded 215 points (42 goals, 173 assists) while registering 250 penalty minutes over 406 AHL contests.
