Senators Sports & Entertainment is excited to pass along the news that the newly installed traffic lights at the Huntmar/Maple Grove intersection, just south of Canadian Tire Centre, are now fully operational. The lights are to be added to traffic network and improve Senators post-game egress.
These new traffic lights will be added to the network controlled by City of Ottawa traffic operations, who work out of the Canadian Tire Centre command centre after every Senators home game. The lights will now be controlled and part of the larger traffic operations network, which focuses on safe and efficient egress from the parking lots.
These traffic lights will be another improvement for Sens fans, with the expectation this will improve the egress for fans driving South on Huntmar after games, helping fans get home to Kanata, Stittsville and Barrhaven even faster.
The Senators would like to acknowledge the work of councillor Shad Qadri and the City of Ottawa on getting this important project completed.
