The Sens announced the recall of Mike Hoffman today from Binghamton and he joined the team for practice on the ice at the Bell Sensplex. Hoffman has been on a tear in Bingo since being returned to the B-Sens in mid-December with 41 points in 30 games and will look to bring some offence off the wing to the big club.
Here's what he had to say about his return to Ottawa...
On being back in Ottawa:
It feels good. I feel a lot more comfortable this time around, I had a good practice today and felt good out there so I'm just trying to progress out there every game and every time I'm on the ice up here.
On his offensive output in Binghamton since being returned:
I've just been keeping going with what I'm doing out there on the ice. Trying not to take any games off or any days off. I wanted to get back here as soon as I could and I knew I had to be a dominant player down there and produce and help that team win.
On what he has to do to stick in Ottawa:
It's just playing my game, being consistent, doing what I do in the American League — skate and shoot and just using my assets every chance that I can. That's pretty much what I'm here to do so that's what I have to do.
On his line through one practice:
I was with Bobby and Mika... Last time I was with Bobby for two and a half games I'd say and Mika I've skated with more than Bobby because he was in Binghamton and whatnot. There's some chemistry there so I think it'll be good.
