With Team Sweden booking their ticket to the Olympic finals in Sochi, Mika Zibanejad offered his thoughts on the win and what lies ahead for the Tre Kronor.
Here's what he had to say...
On Sweden and Karlsson:
It's fun, he's been a huge part of their success and obviously they have one more game and whether it's the US or Canada it doesn't really matter. It's one more game and one more win.
On any surprises in Sweden's game:
I don't think they're satisfied with all the games they've played but they're getting the wins, they're getting three points and they're advancing in the tournament so I think they have their best game yet to play.
On if he was nervous when Finland took the lead:
No I think I felt they had it in them and they were going to be able to come back.
On if the Olympics are a goal for him if NHLers go back:
It would be a fun tournament to play and the Olympics is always the Olympics. It would be a huge honour to represent your country in such a big event and try to bring the gold home. Obviously I don't know what the status is right now and how they look at it but it would be fun for sure.
On if there will be any wagers on Sunday with Canadians and American teammates:
Yeah, we'll have to wait and see who we're going up against, but there will probably be some stuff going on.
On if he would wear a jersey to honour Karlsson to return the favour for Karlsson wearing 93 after the World Junior game winner:
Oh for sure. I don't know if I would be able to live up to his jersey and the back of the name, but yeah, for sure.
