The Ottawa Senators have their first confirmed participant in the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi as Milan Michalek was selected to represent the Czech Republic on Monday.
Michalek, who has recorded seven goals and 19 points through the Sens first 44 games this season, will be making his second trip to the Olympics. He represented the Czech Republic in 2010 at Vancouver and scored a pair of goals in five games.
The men's Olympic tournament will kick off on February 12 when the Czech Republic takes on Sweden at Sochi's Bolshoy Ice Dome.
