As the Sens get set for their first game in Las Vegas, we take a look at their line-up for tonight's 10 p.m. start against the Golden Knights.
We mentioned it in today's Game Day 5 but Alex Burrows is expected to rejoin the Sens tonight after missing the past 10 games while he served a suspension for his actions against Taylor Hall back on February 6th. Burrows' availability comes at a good time for the Senators as Marian Gaborik has been ruled out for tonight's game after suffering a minor injury on Tuesday in Washington.
"It's just a little nagging thing," said head coach Guy Boucher about Gaborik. "It's not an injury so it's more precautionary because we don't want it to get worse."
It's been nearly a month since Burrows' last game so the coach spoke about managing expectations upon his return.
"The reality is he hasn't played in a long time," said Boucher. "He needs to keep things simple, bring what he brings and not try to overdo things."
There was some light line juggling at today's morning skate as Tom Pyatt skated alongside Matt Duchene and Mike Hoffman while Magnus Paajarvi moved down to fill Gaborik's spot on a line with Zack Smith and Ryan Dzingel. We also saw a slight change to the defence pairings as well as Ben Harpur and Thomas Chabot swapped partners.
Here's a look at the Sens projected for tonight...
Craig Anderson (17-20-5) gets the nod in net for the Sens against the Golden Knights tonight as he looks to snap a personal 3-game losing skid. Anderson has been a bit streaky this season and was having a solid 2018 until he ran up against a trio of tough outings over the past week and a half. Mike Condon, who will likely start tomorrow's game in Arizona, backs him up tonight.
