Lehner to start in Philly

by Chris Lund / Ottawa Senators

With the first leg of a back-to-back taking place in Philadelphia tonight ahead of tomorrow night's crucial tilt with the Devils, Robin Lehner will get the start against the Flyers over Craig Anderson.

The start tonight will be the first of Robin's career against the Flyers. Up to this point they were the only team in the Atlantic Division he had never faced in his career.

To say it's been a frustrating season for Lehner in the record column may be the understatement of the year. He has posted a solid 2.34 GAA and and even better. 934 save percentage, but only has a 3-3-4 record to show for it. Robin has averaged 2.5 goals per game as run support this season as the Sens have scored 25 in his 10 starts, but this number diminishes considerably when you consider nine of those goals -- over one third of that total -- came in two games.

His last start came in Buffalo on April 5 against the Sabres. Lehner stopped 26 shots but the Sens ultimately came out on the wrong end of a 4-2 decision.
