WINNIPEG -- The Ottawa Senators couldn't take one from the Winnipeg Jets.

A 6-3 loss closed the first three-game series of the season against Winnipeg, with the Jets winning all three games.
Andrew Copp scored twice in a four-goal third period, and the Winnipeg Jets completed a three-game sweep of the Ottawa Senators at Bell MTS Place on Saturday.
Paul Stastny and Mark Scheifele each had a goal and two assists, and Blake Wheeler had three assists
Nicholas Paul, Evgenii Dadonov and Brady Tkachuk scored for the Senators (1-3-1), and Marcus Hogberg made 32 saves in his first start of the season.
Copp tied the game 3-3 at 2:24 of the third period, and Stastny, who signed as a free agent Oct. 15, made it 4-3 on the power play at 15:45.
Copp extended to lead to 5-3 at 16:55 before Scheifele scored into an empty net at 17:51 for the 6-3 final.
Ehlers scored for a third straight game to give the Jets a 1-0 lead on the power play at 14:03 of the first period.
Dadonov tied it 1-1 at 4:04 of the second in the first of three Senators goals in the period.
Connor gave the Jets a 2-1 lead at 8:18 before Tkachuk tied the game 2-2 at 11:14. Paul gave Ottawa its first lead at 3-2 at 14:23.
The Sens return to action Monday night when they visit the Vancouver Canucks at 10 p.m.
