With the end of training camp on the horizon, Sens winger Mike Hoffman looks to use tonight's pre-season finale against the Buffalo Sabres to set the tone for the regular season.
On working with Guy Boucher again:
Obviously we had a good relationship in junior in the Quebec league and it's kind of cool that our paths have crossed once again up at the National league level. Most of the systems and stuff are very similar and the way he acts and reacts to things. I'm really looking forward to having him behind our bench and leading us this year.
On Boucher's focus on the power play during training camp:
His power plays have always been good and I think that's the reason that we do work on it a lot so everyone knows their routes and is on the same page and knows where they're going. Which is huge on the power play. It's not a shocker or a surprise that we've scored a couple of goals on the power play so far. You work on it and get better at it and the results take care of themselves.
On tonight's pre-season finale against the Sabres:
I think we consider this the first game of 83 on the season. We've got the whole squad going tonight and I'm sure they have the same thing. Everyone wants to get the good habits going for when the first regular season game starts. We're taking this game like it's a real game.
