The latest college free agent to join the Ottawa Senators this season was Northeastern forward Ludwig Karlsson, who signed a two-year entry level deal on July 26 with the Sens.
Karlsson has been a quality goalscorer at the collegiate level for the Huskies and has gained experience at two NHL development camps in Anaheim and Nashville, respectively. He came over to North America at 17 years old to ply his trade in the USHL circuit before catching on in the NCAA's Hockey East conference. Earlier this week, Paul MacLean hinted that Ludwig may be in the running for a roster spot with the big club, which means Sens fans may get a good look at him sooner rather than later.
