Gameday Preview Bits - 4.9.2013

by Chris Lund / Ottawa Senators

It's game day in Tampa Bay which means you need to get caught up on the action ahead of the Sens' tilt tonight with the Lightning. The Sens are looking to curb this slump while they can and tonight's game against the Lightning should be another good chance to earn a victory.

Let's begin.

Up top we have the Gameday Goodie, this time with Craig Anderson who talks about what he did while he was out of the lineup, why he talks to the media on gamedays, while touching on his notable stick tossing ritual during warmups. All good stuff as usual.

Below we have Gord Wilson's Game Preview where he gives you the lowdown on all of the storylines heading into tonight's game. Luckily for the Sens they have some experience dealing with the guy in goal for the Lightning tonight as Ben Bishop will get the start.

The Sens are four points up on ninth place with a game in hand and a win against Tampa would go a long way towards giving them a very slight cushion.

Paul MacLean had his usual media availability this morning and passed along his update on the Sens lineup and some thoughts on the new-look Tampa Bay Lightning under Jon Cooper.

Cory Conacher also spoke to the media about coming back to play his old team a week after being traded. He noted that many of the current Lightning players were his teammates on that Calder Cup winning Norfolk team.
