Everything you do is in the best interest of the player and the team so you make some tough decisions. But those are the two criteria that we go off of: What's best for the player at this time and does it hurt the team? Obviously it's an opportunity for somebody else, right? So that's what goes into all those decisions.

8:30 AM: The Ottawa Senators will look snap their 3-game losing streak tonight when they face the Sabres tonight in Buffalo. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. (Eastern)
The Sens are coming off of a 4-1 loss against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night in Ottawa. Erik Condra scored the lone goal for the Senators while Robin Lehner made 29 saves in defeat. The Senators are 20-22-9 at through 51 games this season and currently sit in 14th place in the Eastern Conference.
Buffalo gets set to host Ottawa after a 3-2 loss to the New York Islanders this past Saturday night. Marcus Foligno and Drew Stafford provided a pair of goals late in the second period while Michal Neuvirth stopped 28 shots in the loss. The Sabres have been on a rough stretch the over the past month or so and their record of 16-35-3 is the worst in the NHL.
These teams have faced each other twice already this season with both teams earning a victory. In their most recent match-up, Bobby Ryan's first hat trick with Ottawa powered the Sens to a 5-2 win on December 29th on home ice. Catch the full highlights from that game here...
