11:00 AM:

9:45 AM: The Ottawa Senators will look to make it two in a row tonight when they take on the Sabres at First Niagara Center in Buffalo. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.

The Senators come into tonight's game off of a 3-2 overtime win against the Boston Bruins this past Saturday afternoon. Goals from Mika Zibanejad and David Legwand provided the offence for the Sens while Robin Lehner stopped 29 shots through the first 65 minutes. Zibanejad and Bobby Ryan marked for the Sens in the shootout to earn the extra point. The Senators are 12-12-5 through 29 games this season.

The Sabres are coming off of a 4-3 overtime win over the Florida Panthers. Buffalo got goals from Cody Hodgson, Marcus Foligno, Brian Gionta and the game winner from Nikita Zadorov while Jhonas Enroth made 25 saves to earn the decision. The Sabres currently sit last in the Atlantic Division with a record of 12-16-2 this season but have been noticeably better going 7-3-0 in their past 10 games and winning their last 3.

Some lineup notes to pass along for the Sens:

  • Robin Lehner will get the start in goal.
  • The Sens will be without Zack Smith for an extended period after he dislocated his wrist against the Bruins.

  • Jean-Gabriel Pageau has been recalled from the Binghamton Senators.
  • Marc Methot is returning to the IR after aggravating his original injury.

The Sens will have their morning skate today and I'll have plenty of updates to follow including, but not limited to, lineup changes, players' thoughts, Sens TV videos, Instagram goodness and more.

Stay tuned!
