Game Day 5: Sens vs Sabres

Here are 5 things you need to know before tonight's game as the Sens get set to face the Buffalo Sabres.

1. Line-up

Some line-up notes for tonight...

  • No line changes are expected from the Rangers game on Sunday. Marc Methot remains a game-time decision so depending on how he feels, he could potentially draw in tonight.
  • Kyle Turris (injury) once again won't be in the line-up tonight.

2. Goalies

Craig Anderson is set to make his 39th appearance or the season tonight against the Sabres after posting a shutout against the New York Rangers this past weekend. Andy's current record sits at 20-14-1 on the season. Andrew Hammond will back him up tonight.

Former Senator Robin Lehner starts in goal for the Sabres tonight.

3. Last meeting

Rewind back to the season opener on October 8th, 2015 in Buffalo when the Sens bested the Sabres 3-1. Kyle Turris notched a pair of goals in the win and you can watch the full highlights from the game below...

4. Bell Hockey Talks / DIFD

The Ottawa Senators and Ottawa Senators Foundation will host their annual Hockey Talks day tonight vs the Buffalo Sabres, seeking to encourage a national conversation about youth mental health through Do It For Daron (DIFD) and look to inspire conversations and educate fans on the topic of youth mental health while raising funds for the one in five Ontarians under the age of 17 who suffer from a mental health disorder.

5. Broadcast

Tonight's game will be available on TSN5 and RDS2 as well as on the radio at TSN 1200. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m.
