Game Day 5: Sens vs Flames

by Craig Medaglia / Ottawa Senators

The Sens are prepping to face the Calgary Flames tonight at Canadian Tire Centre and we've got 5 pre-game things to help you get ready for puck drop.

1. Line-up

Some line-up notes for tonight...

  • Sens head coach Dave Cameron confirmed this morning that both Marc Methot and Matt Puempel would make their return to the line-up. Methot had been sidelined with a concussion while Puempel was recently recalled from Binghamton.
  • Sens winger Milan Michalek will be in the line-up tonight as well. Michalek left yesterday's practice after taking a shot to his arm. He was set to be re-evaluated this morning and it appears he's been given the green light.
  • The coach also confirmed that Curtis Lazar and Mike Hoffman would not dress tonight due to their respective injuries.
  • With Methot returning to action, Chris Wideman comes out of the line-up to make room.

3. Last meeting

These two teams last faced off against each other back on March 8th, 2015 in Ottawa with the Sens holding on to win 5-4 in a shootout after giving up 4 unanswered third period goals. Chiasson, Michalek, Borowiecki and Hoffman all lit the lamp for Ottawa before the captain sealed the win in the shootout.
