Here are 5 things you need to know before tonight's game as the Sens get set to face the New Jersey Devils.
Some line-up notes for tonight...
- Mike Kostka and Fredrick Claesson were both recalled this morning. The coach mentioned to the media this morning that he has some "guys banged up" on defence but wasn't sure of any changes so look for something closer to puck drop.
- Curtis Lazar mentioned that his recent injury was a groin issue but that he underwent some testing this morning and could return to the line-up tonight.
With all the question marks, recalls and no morning skate we've decided not to put out a projected line-up for today since it would basically be a giant guess that would most likely be wrong. So feel free to speculate any changes on your own.
Andrew Hammond has been named the starter for tonight
s game. Through 6 games this season, the Hamburglar sports a record of 2-2-2 for the Sens. Craig Anderson gets a break and will back him up today.
Cory Schneider will start in goal for the Devils at the other end of the rink today.
3. Last meeting
This is the second meeting of these two teams this season with the Devils taking the first in Ottawa 5-4 in a shootout. Chris Neil (1+1), Mika Zibanejad (1+1) and Shane Prince (0+2) all had multi-point nights for the Sens while Andrew Hammond made 28 saves in defeat.
