Game Day 5: Sens @ Blackhawks

Here are 5 things you need to know before tonight's game in Chicago against the Blackhawks.

1. Line-up

Some line-up notes for tonight...

  • The coach confirmed that there will be no changes to his line-up tonight.
  • He also mentioned yesterday that both Cody Ceci and Milan Michalek are getting closer returning and have begun skating with the team.

2. Goalies

Craig Anderson will once again get the start for the Sens tonight against the Coyotes. So far this season, Andy's record sits at 16-10-4 while his goals against is at 2.82 and his save percentage at .917%. Andrew Hammond backs up him up tonight.

Corey Crawford will start in goal for Chicago tonight.

3. Last meeting

These two teams last squared off in Ottawa back on December 3rd with the Sens earning a thriller in overtime. Mike Hoffman (2+1), Bobby Ryan (1+2) and Erik Karlsson (0+3) all had 3 point nights while Craig Anderson was stellar making 35 saves in the victory.

Sens head coach Dave Cameron shared his thoughts on the Blackhawks:

Real good team. They're a puck possesion team so we have to do a lot of talking, stick in our own end and we have to hold on to pucks.
