With a lot of focus on Bobby Ryan at Team USA's Olympic orientation camp, it wouldn't be fair to highlight his involvement without also noting that Sens goaltender Craig Anderson is in attendance as well and vying for a spot to not only make the team, but potentially take over the number one job after his record setting season.
Anderson is part of a deep crop of goaltenders — arguably the deepest in the world at the moment — that includes Jonathan Quick (Kings), Ryan Miller (Sabres), Jimmy Howard (Red Wings), Cory Schneider (Devils) and John Gibson (Ducks). After Andy's stellar 2013 season however, it stands to reason he will be amongst the favourites to earn a spot on the squad.
EJ Hradek of NHL Network had a conversation with Andy about his past Team USA experience, the upcoming Olympics and his thoughts on the Sens — particularly playing for Paul MacLean.
