Clarke MacArthur on the Sens time in St. John's

by Chris Lund / Ottawa Senators

Senators forward Clarke MacArthur recorded a goal in his first pre-season game on Monday night in St. John's, N.L., for the Sens in a 3-2 shootout loss to the New York Islanders. Here's what he had to say about the experience as a whole after the team spent three days in town.

"It was fun. Great fans and I thought we had a pretty good product out there considering it was the first game," said MacArthur. "It's always fun when you get a packed house and they were obviously excited to see Greener (Colin Greening) out there. For him to get a goal like that at the end was pretty cool."

The Senators return to pre-season action on Wednesday night in a pair of split-squad games against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
