OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators’ year-long commitment to community outreach programs throughout the National Capital Region continues. The following is a look at the club’s community schedule from Friday, Dec. 9, to Thursday, Dec. 15.
Sens Gameday Experience presented by Esso
On Saturday, Dec. 10, fans and minor hockey teams from across the Ottawa-Gatineau area will visit Scotiabank Place to watch the Ottawa Senators pre-game skate beginning at 10:15 a.m. Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to watch as the Senators coaching staff puts the players through their paces in preparation for the game later that night against the Vancouver Canucks. General admission and parking are free of charge, with non-perishable food donations being accepted on site by the Ottawa Food Bank.
Senators Alumni Road Game Parties
Throughout the 2011-12 regular season, the Senators will be holding Road Game Parties at Boston Pizza restaurants throughout the Ottawa area. A Senators alumni member will be on hand from the start of the game through the first intermission, mingling with fans and signing autographs at each event. The next party is set for Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m., when the Senators visit the Buffalo Sabres. Senators Alumni member Jean Payette will be at Boston Pizza at 2890 Conroy Road in Ottawa.
Spartacat, the Senators’ ambassador of fun, will make an appearance at Darcy McGee’s Santa Day/Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 10, from noon until 1 p.m. at 655 Terry Fox Drive. All proceeds will go to Roger’s House.
