OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators’ year-long commitment to community outreach programs throughout the National Capital Region continues. The following is a look at the club’s community schedule from Friday, April 23, to Thursday, April 29.


Erin Crowe named finalist for Ottawa Business Woman of the Year

Erin Crowe, executive vice-president, chief financial officer and alternate governor with Senators Sports & Enterntainment, will attend the Ottawa Business Woman of the Year Awards Gala on Thursday, April 29, at 5:30 p.m., at the Hampton Inn and Conference Centre (100 Coventry Road). Crowe, who has been with the Senators’ organization since 1996, has been named a finalist in the corporate category.

Tickets for the event range from $130 for members of the Womens Business Network to $150 for non-members and can be purchased by calling 613-749-5975.

Sandi Horner named finalist for Human Resources Professionals Association Vision Award

Sandi Horner, people department director with Senators Sports & Enterntainment, will attend the Human Resources Professionals Association Vision Awards Gala on Wednesday, April 28, at 6 p.m., at the Hilton Lac-Leamy Hotel (3 Boulevard du Casino, Gatineau Que.). Horner has been named a finalist for the Hicks Morley Strategic Goals Champion Award, which recognizes an executive at or above the director level who is a champion of the human resources function and who’s focus on the organization's strategic goals has a positive and tangible impact on the it’s mandate, mission or values in addition to its people.

Spartacat appearances

Spartacat, the Senators’ ambassador of fun, will be at the Walk for Autism on Saturday, April 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Ecole de Secondaire de L’Ile (255 rue St. Redempteur, Hull, Que.)
