Bulletin: "Suite" Delivery by Senators Players

by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators announced today that eight players will be making their first “tape-to-tape” passes of the new NHL season on Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m., when they deliver season tickets to some of longest-standing suite holders.

“Dany (Heatley) is leading up the group of players making the rounds tomorrow afternoon, delivering 2007-08 season tickets to suites holders,” said Roy Mlakar, Senators CEO and president. “After registering his second consecutive 50-goal season, I think that Heater will be on the mark with handing off the tickets. And his linemate’s (Jason Spezza) finest skills at passing are up for the task, too.

“We believe this initiative is another important benefit for our suite holders to recognize their loyalty to the club,” added Mlakar. “With the great discounts and benefits that all season tickets receive, this (player ticket delivery) is another reason to consider becoming a suite holder.”

Joining Heatley and Spezza on the deliveries are Joe Corvo, Shean Donovan, Ray Emery, Andrej Meszaros, Dean McAmmond and Christoph Schubert.

The Senators training camp opens on Thursday, Sept. 13, with medicals and fitness testing at Scotiabank Place (media availability from 9 a.m. to noon). On Friday, the team participates in the 14th annual Bell/Senators Charity Golf Classic at The Marshes Golf Club. Saturday will see the first on-ice practice sessions and Sunday features Fan Fest.
